Mr. Adnan Hayal, Consul General of the Republic of Türkiye in Guangzhou, was born in Schramberg, Germany, in 1963. After completing his primary and secondary education in the same city, he graduated from Üsküdar Cumhuriyet High School in 1981. He earned his degree from the Department of German Language and Literature at the Faculty of Education of Marmara University in 1986. The same year, he successfully passed the entrance examination of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and commenced his diplomatic career.

Throughout his distinguished career, Consul General Hayal has served in various capacities within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including the Directorate General of Consular and Social Security Affairs, the Directorate General of Multilateral International Organizations, the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Secretariat, the Istanbul Representation Office of the Ministry, the Directorate General of Consular Affairs, and the Edirne Representation Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

He has also undertaken assignments at several Turkish missions abroad, including the Consulate General in Burgas, the Embassy in Abuja, the Consulate General in Munich, the Consulate General in Cologne (two terms), and the Consulate General in Karlsruhe, where he served as Deputy Consul General between 2017 and 2022.

Prior to his current post, Consul General Hayal served as the Consul General of the Republic of Türkiye in Comrat until 30 September 2025. He assumed his duties as the Consul General of the Republic of Türkiye in Guangzhou on 15 October 2025.
